What to do when you’ve been zombied

Modern dating comes with different terms and slangs.  Some of them like breadcrumbing, ghosting and gaslighting, I’ve talked about in different videos on this channel.  So today, I’m going to be talking about a new one called zombieing.  Today, I’m going to talk about what to do when you’ve been zombied.

Prefer to read rather that watch the video?  Here’s what’s in it:

First of all, what does it mean to be zombied?  Zombieing is when somebody you’ve been dating or having something with suddenly ghosts you or disappears and then ages later, reappears back in your life, as if from the dead, usually acting as if they didn’t disappear in the first place.  The person will usually reappear in the form of a message saying something mundane like ‘Hey, What’s up?’ or by liking your pictures or posts on social media.

Being zombied is very common in today’s world but that doesn’t make it any less annoying.  So, what can you do if you’ve been zombied?  Here are a few ideas:  First of all, know that the person who zombied you is not serious about you.  If they were, they would keep in touch with you even if they couldn’t offer you what you wanted in terms of a relationship at that point in time.

Someone who cares about you wouldn’t just disappear and leave you feeling worried and rejected.  So, if a zombie reappears in your life, don’t get all excited thinking that now, something can really happen between you two.  It probably will not.

Secondly, know that you do not have to reply or reciprocate in whatever way the zombie contacted you.  If he calls you or texts you out of the blue, this is NOT an opening to call him back or quickly text him back or something like that.  And if he ‘likes’ a few of your posts on social media, this is NOT the chance you have to go on a liking spree on his Instagram page.  Do not do that.

By the way, I use ‘he’ a lot here because I’m a relationship coach for single women over the age of 30.  I help single women over the age of 30 attract and keep the right relationship.  So, most of my content is from the point of view of the woman talking to or about the man which is why I use ‘he’ a lot.

My final tip on what to do if you’ve been zombied is to thank your lucky stars that this person showed you who they really are so that you can stop wasting your time on them and move on.  Believe me, when you get rid of the zombies in your life, you’ll be doing yourself a very big favour because now, you’ll have space into your life in which you can attract better-behaved men.
