The bedroom in Movenpick Hotel, Bur Dubai
Movenpick is a chain of hotels with Swiss origin. In Dubai, there are 4 Movenpick hotels: in Deira, Bur Dubai, Jumeirah and IBG Battuta Gate. I stayed at Movenpick Bur Dubai. The first thing I noticed about the hotel was the courteous staff. I’m pretty small so I sometimes get treated like a child but that didn’t happen here. The next thing I noticed was the large fountain inside the hotel, near the reception desk. The reception area looked nice and the sound of the water from the fountain gave the whole place a soothing effect.

My room and bathroom were pretty standard but I quickly discovered another thing to like about the hotel. Apart from being only a 15-minute drive from the airport, it was also a 15-minute taxi ride from The Dubai Mall and a 20-minute car ride from the gold souk – the hotel’s location was perfect for me.

Movenpick Bur Dubai has 3 restaurants, a sports bar and a nightclub so you can change scene without having to leave the hotel. In addition, the food is good in the hotel – just as well they have a gym. Oh and did I mention their rooftop swimming pool? My only regret about Movenpick Bur Dubai is that I didn’t stay in Dubai long enough to try everything it offered.
