Restaurant Review: Café Royale

Cafe Royale is an ocean-themed restaurant offering all sorts of food from Asian-influenced meals to salads and burgers.  Café Royale (which seems to be the restaurant arm of Chocolat Royale that is famous for its ice-cream) also offers great desserts.  Located on one of the quieter streets of Victoria Island, Café Royale has a giant aquarium which always attracts children, a blue, white and silver décor and a great little terrace which is a little unusual in Lagos because the restaurant is on the 1st floor of the building meaning when you sit on the terrace, you’re eating outside but upstairs if you know what I mean.

The delicious Seafood Alfredo pasta dish I had

I ordered the Seafood Alfredo pasta which was a blend of shrimp and calamari served on tagliatelle with a creamy cheese sauce.  To drink, I had a chocolate milkshake.  Service is pretty fast at the Café Royale so within a few minutes, a large bowl of piping-hot pasta and the chocolate milkshake were set in front of me.

The chocolate milkshake was quite nice

I found the food tasty and was pleased with the portion served as well as the service.  This is the restaurant to try if you’re looking for a laid-back place to have a nice meal.

Price:           The pasta dish and chocolate milkshake cost N4,400:00

Address:       Plot 267a Etim Inyang Crescent, Victoria Island, Lagos.
