Yinka has wonderful memories of a holiday in Venice.
1. Tell us about your very first holiday.
I have no recollection of my very first holiday, as I was much too young to have any memory of it.
2. What is your most memorable holiday?
My most memorable holiday was to Venice in Italy. Venice is a beautiful place. We stayed at the Luna Hotel Baglioni, which is a very elegant and tasteful hotel. The gondola and daily boat rides were so much fun and the holiday ended much sooner than I wished. On the day we were checking out, we spotted Tom Hanks arriving… you can imagine my excitement.
3. What do you like most about vacations?
The change of environment, beautiful scenery/ views and a beach/ lake or marina nearby.
4. What do you hate most about vacations?
Not being able to speak the language of the locals.
5. How would you spend your perfect day on holiday?
A perfect day on holiday would be: Wake up at 10a.m. Have some breakfast. Dress up in shorts, a tank top, flip flops, sunglasses and a scarf. A bit of sightseeing. An hour or so on the beach. A trip to the Spa and end the day with a lovely dinner.
6. Where would you most like to go on holiday? Why?
I would most like to visit the Seychelles. A long time ago, I watched a Miss World contest which was aired from the Seychelles and ever since then I have dreamt about visiting the Island. The main attractions for me are the beautiful landscapes, clear skies and blue waters.
