When I saw this picture, I had to pause and admire it. The picture is of Ol Doinyo Lengai also known as the ‘Mountain of God’ and it is an active volcano in Tanzania. I studied Geology in university and loved it so I’m often fascinated by things that remind me of the subject, things like this volcano. When you combine my love for travel with that for geology, it’s not surprising that I’ve chosen this photograph as a Travel Picture of the Month. Needless to state, I have now added Tanzania to my list of places to visit. Have you been there before? What was it like for you?
