Restaurant Review: Bungalow

The Bungalow is a restaurant on one of the busiest streets in Lagos.  This means that it can get quite busy there although earlier in the day, the restaurant is quite calm.  Bungalow offers Japanese- and Mexican-influenced cuisine as well as burgers, salads and soups.  Although the décor of the restaurant isn’t the most beautiful, there’s a section where you can watch Asian chefs preparing meals and they sometimes ‘perform’ for diners which is entertaining.

I love the way my nail polish contrasts with the drink.  I loved the drink too.

This was almost too beautiful to eat.  Almost.

I loved the fact that there was a wide range of food on the menu and picking what I wanted took a while.  Eventually, I ordered Yakisoba noodles, Black Tiger Prawns (which came with rice and turned out to be a meal in itself!), a Muddy Crème (which was like a giant chocolate milkshake with whipped cream on top) and a Blue Lagoon.  The noodles were delicious and the prawns were the largest I’ve ever seen.  The Muddy Crème was thick and decadent and the Blue Lagoon which came in a giant glass was on the right side of sweet.  There was no way I could finish what I ordered but I had a lot of fun trying!

The Yakisoba noodles were delicious

This was one of the thickest milkshakes I’ve ever had

As mentioned earlier, the restaurant can get quite busy but it is still a great place for a delicious, generously-portioned meal.  I can’t wait to go back and work my way through the rest of the menu.

Price:           The food and drinks cost about N10,000:00.

Address:       1296 Akin Adesola Street, Victoria Island, Lagos.
